Our client has been producing some of the finest bakery products from the heart of rural Cheshire. Each week over 2 million of the finest breads and morning goods are baked for retail and catering customers throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. The company has been trading since the early 1900’s and has continued to invest over the years in bread bakery. Recently investments have seen the completion of a second bread production line.
The market for bread continues to evolve and broaden. Our client is ensuring that their company can continue to meet these challenges through our innovation, product development and high quality standards.

This role will be reporting into the Purchasing Manager where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the packaging used in the company. This will include the design, origination, and the selection of suitable packaging material and specification controls. The process requires a detailed assessment of the packaging format, its interaction with the supply chain, stores and customer. Other aspects of the role include generating revenue for the packaging department through the invoicing for the artwork generation and project management of launching the product.

The successful applicant will be experienced within a fast moving factory environment, preferably within the food industry with excellent communication and organisational skills with a particular need for attention to detail. A diploma in Packaging Technology together with a technical background or experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
