THE COMPANY
Our client is the largest office furniture manufacturer in the world. They have a global turnover in excess of $3bn and have operations in every continent. They have an UK turnover of £50m and are situated in the mid-high end of the marketplace. Following several years success selling through a dealer network they are now looking to expand their direct corporate sales team.

THE ROLE
Strategic Account Manager / UK Strategic Accounts Manager / Key Account Manager / National Account Manager / Corporate Account Manager

Salary - £40,000-£50,000
Benefits - OTE +£30,000 uncapped, car/car allowance, pension, life assurance, healthcare, laptop, mobile and 25 days holiday
Location – National (Multiple locations across the UK)

As a Strategic Account Manager you will be responsible for forging relationships with the largest companies in the UK, gaining an understanding of each business, their structure, the growth plans and ongoing contact with multiple decision makers within the organisations. You will need to educate these clients – taking them to seminars, design fairs so that they have a complete understanding of our clients business; which will give you a strong position to win business via tender, partnership agreements etc. Once you have brought these companies on board you will then be working to increase the profile of our client within these business’ and aim to achieve sole supplier status with both the parent company and their subsidiaries. The Strategic Account Manager is a highly visible role within this company and will allow a successful candidate to gain a reputation within an enviable PLC.

THE PERSON
Applicants currently working as business development managers, sales executives, account managers or in any professional sales role with a provable track record of success are invited to apply if they have -

• Extensive experience dealing with FTSE 250 companies
• Strong account management skills
• Professional
• Ability to communicate with people on all levels
• Confident
• Competent closer of business
• Dedicated
• Able to negotiate at board level
• Strong consultative sales technique
Advantageous –
• Experience of the office furniture or office solutions marketplace
• Background related to office interiors.
• Previous success managing large brand names
