Our client is on of the UK’s most progressive dairy companies. They are owned entirely by British dairy farmers whose farm assured milk is processed into a comprehensive range of high quality and innovative dairy products.
Additionally they are also one of the largest producers of cheese, supplying all major food retailers, food processors and food service organisations.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Shift Foreman the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be required to work within a small team completing both re-active and pro-active maintenance duties within a fast paced food packaging environment ensuring that any plant breakdown is quickly and effectively repaired. You will also be required to work to look to improving the lines and getting better productivity out of every shift, through providing considered advice and conducting regular updates during shifts.
THE PERSON
The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of modern maintenance techniques and procedures as well as a good working operational knowledge of a manufacturing site. The successful candidate will be a time-served Engineer ideally educated to at least City & Guilds level with extensive knowledge of fault finding and maintaining PLC’s to a high standard. A strong communicator with the ability to prioritise your workload and ideally have been accustomed to working within a world class manufacturing environment and lean manufacturing principles.
Job Salary / Benefits:
£25-30K, pension, private healthcare, 25 days
