Part of a worldwide leader in distribution and logistics services, that has a global turnover of €10.1bn, and employs 150,000 people, our client provides specialist courier services to many of the Uk’s leading brand names.

Following an outstanding start to 2008, our client needs to recruit a further business development manager to focus on corporate business in the North west & Yorkshire

The industry-leading training programme will provide the business development manager all the tools to hit the ground running and provide a total logistics solution.

THE ROLE
Business Development Executive, Sales Consultant, Corporate Sales Manager, Commercial Manager
£40,000 basic salary (flexible), £60,000 OTE uncapped, Private Healthcare for the family, Pension, Flexible benefits.
North West & Yorkshire

Given the flexibility to work across the North, the business development manager will forge top level relationships via logistics, finance and purchasing directors, along with Influencers at senior management level.

Leads will be generated for the business development manager via their internal relationships with depot sales managers and depot general managers. Working purely on major business, contract values will generally be £500,000 plus per year.

The consultative sales process will require the business development manager to get under the skin of their prospect accounts, understand the business and logistical needs, then provide a total outsourced solution.

Success in this role will give the business development manager the flexibility to move directly to sales management, account directorship and overseas work.

THE PERSON
Applicants currently working as business development managers, sales executives, account managers or in any professional sales role with a provable track record of success are invited to apply if they have -
Essential
- 5 years business to business sales experience
- Quality business development skills
- Experience of working with corporate accounts
- Ability to build relationships at multiple levels both internally and externally

Desirable
- Experience working for one of the Uk’s major carriers
- Knowledge of outsourced service sales
- Quality communication skills
- Ability to manage a territory effectively
- Career minded, not just looking for a job
- Proven track record
- Excellent Listening skill
