THE ROLE
As maintenance engineering technician you will be working as part of a team with responsibility for all mechanical, electrical and electronic systems employed within the refining, packaging, utilities and jetty sections. This role will involve working on several projects at the same time, at various different stages of the processes. In addition there will be co-ordination of other staff, planning and scheduling with the maintenance team leader and meeting with suppliers to carry out audits in-house and at supplier’s premises.
THE PERSON
Applicants currently working within the food manufacturing sector in either a production, operations, development or technical role are invited to apply if they are: multi-skilled engineers, maintenance engineers.
My client is looking for a multi-skilled engineer who has qualifications in engineering to an HNC/ NVQ4 level although other qualifications will be considered. Ideally, you will be currently working in an automated continuos process environment with experience of using PLC and HT systems. Knowledge of health and safety systems and procedures will be advantageous as will the ability to plan and organise successfully. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and in return you will be offered development, training and progression within the business.
