One of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh produce to both retailers and foodservice customers, my client offer a diverse range of fruit and vegetables and are considered experts in exotic produce. Working in joint ventures with grower groups in both the UK and overseas, they pride themselves on the high quality and range of their produce.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the National Account Director, you will work across the stone fruit category and manage one of the top 5 mults worth in excess of £15million. You will be fully P&L responsible and in addition will work on category management and identifying new suppliers in both the UK and abroad. This role offers the opportunity to travel internationally and progress through the business.
THE PERSON
Currently working within a National Accounts role in the grocery channel, you will have experience within fresh produce and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management. A flexible attitude is essential and this role will require you to use your negotiation, time management and commercial acumen in order to be successful. The availabilty to travel internationally is required.
